For manips, I am looking for action/reaction and will be taking the following into consideration:
- Body-language - how characters react to each other in the scene (so if someone steps forward, does the other character step back, stand up to confront them, or hold their position?)
- Props/character changes - how well changes have been integrated into the scene (e.g weapons, jewellery, costume changes, etc). I will be watching for blending, consistency and how smoothly it has been integrated into the scene, especially 'jerky movement' (usually happens when all frames haven't been paired up correctly).
- Atmosphere - How the character/s and environment impact each other. E.g A character is fighting and thrown across the dirt. Are they injured? Are they dirtied? Did the character make any impact on the environment? Are there slide marks? If it were raining, are the characters wet? Cold? How does it impact on their mood/ how does their body react?
